When You Need A Pool Certificate of Compliance
If any of these situations apply to you, you need professional advice from an E1 Certified Pool Safety Inspector to check your swimming pool, spa and barrier are compliant to Australian NSW Government Standards.
Real Estate Note
You can still sell your house with a Certificate of Non-Compliance, as long as
- You provide a copy of your Certificate of Non-Compliance to the buyer
- The buyer acquires a Certificate of Compliance within 90 days after settlement
are selling or leasing a property with a swimming pool or spa
building a new swimming pool or spa on a property
have a new fence being built around an existing swimming pool or spa
have bought a property with a pool or spa 90 days from settlement
run a family day care, home care or at-home child care facility
been requested by your bank applying for or refinancing your home loan
are directed by council
Fill in all the details on your online booking form, including your preferred date for inspection
Your inspector checks your swimming pool, spa and barriers are compliant with Australian NSW Government Standards
If your pool, spa, barrier and area is compliant when we visit, your certificate of compliance is issued
If your Pool, Spa and Barrier is Not-Compliant when we visit, your Certificate of Non-Compliance is issued
Once rectifications are complete, a re-inspection is arranged before your certificate of compliance can be issued
Your address and inspection is confirmed by email noting day and time across a 2 hour window
A detailed report is written up including photos with descriptions and explanations on rectifications.
The fee of $59+GST is payable for the administration costs as well as time taken in lodging, acquiring and issuing your certificate
If your pool spa and barrier is non-compliant after the initial inspection, you have up to six (6) weeks to rectify any issues, before, by law, council is notified
We can only guarantee you won’t need another re-inspection if you use our selected contractor to complete rectifications

How Much Does A Certificate of Compliance Cost?
Prices vary greatly between Pool Safety Inspectors. We recommend you research thoroughly before making your decision.

But you get your first inspection FREE

If your pool and barriers are compliant the first time we visit, your certificate of compliance is issued for $59+GST.
If your pool is non-compliant after the first inspection, you have up to six (6) weeks to rectify any issues, before, by law, council is notified
Once rectifications are complete, a re-inspection is arranged, before issuing your certificate of compliance
For any re-inspections required due to works requiring rectification, a re-inspection fee of $199+GST applies
This means the total cost for two (2) inspections and two (2) certificates comes to $317+GST
